Our Story – How Women in Biz Network Was Born……
While on maternity leave with her second child Leigh Mitchell, Founder of Women in Biz Network decided that she wanted to connect with other women online through the social networking site Twitter in order to feel less alone during the long days at home. It was while on Twitter that she noticed that many self employed women were in fact spending time "networking" online in the pursuit of growing their businesses.
After many online conversations with these women Leigh decided to take the relationships online to the next level with in person workshops. These events were so well received and the demand so intense that she decided that she could make this a successful business venture which could be pursued with passion.
Women in Biz Network now works with over 5,000 self employed, professional and entrepreneurial women. This includes women just graduating from post secondary education and well beyond…
